1. Define the operating model
Document target products, client regions, execution model, expected scale and operational roles before selecting technology.
2. Address legal and regulatory requirements separately
Technology does not create authorization to operate a brokerage. Obtain qualified advice for the jurisdictions, entities, client locations and activities involved.
3. Select the trading platform
Define platform scope, account structures, products, permissions, environments, integration needs and operational ownership.
4. Build customer systems
Design CRM and client-cabinet workflows for registration, KYC, account provisioning, customer support and permitted payment processes.
5. Design execution connectivity
Select liquidity and connectivity based on the intended model, counterparties and products. Document pricing, routing, execution states and reconciliation.
6. Implement risk and back office
Create exposure visibility, role-based controls, operational reports, reconciliation and incident procedures.
7. Deploy infrastructure
Choose hosting around dependency paths, resilience, secure administration, monitoring, backups and tested recovery.
8. Integrate and reconcile
Use controlled APIs, protected credentials, idempotent workflows and reconciliation between systems.
9. Run end-to-end UAT
Test complete customer and operational journeys plus degraded scenarios, external dependency failures and recovery.
10. Launch with controlled ownership
Use a production checklist, named escalation contacts, monitoring, rollback procedures and documented handover.
